Our Approach

At Inner Joy Psychiatry, we treat our patients with conventional psychiatric medication management, as well as holistic and non-traditional therapies, viewing each individual as a whole person, rather than a set of symptoms.  Our “whole-body” integrative approach encourages growth in self-care, mindfulness and self-awareness.  We prioritize your autonomy in decision-making on your healing journey, presenting treatment options without pushing medications as your only choice.

Your Experience

Your initial appointment at Inner Joy Psychiatry will be a comprehensive 1-hour assessment led by a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who will explore your psychiatric and medical history, discuss treatment options, empower you with knowledge, and encourage your active involvement in shaping your treatment plan. Follow-up visits are scheduled for 20 minutes and may include supportive therapy when appropriate. At Inner Joy Psychiatry, our aim is for you to leave each appointment feeling empowered and hopeful about your mental health.

Message From Zach:

"In my 10+ years as a healthcare professional - first as a bedside nurse, and now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner - my empathy for the patient experience has only grown deeper. I have witnessed many providers miss the precious opportunity to help their patients feel heard and understood. A few extra minutes can be very meaningful, and you deserve to not feel rushed by your provider. At Inner Joy Psychiatry, we are committed to bringing humanity and empathy back into healthcare. We want to hear your story, to create a space where you can heal and grow, and to guide you toward a brighter vision for your future."
